Our artisan waffles are made with yeasted dough and not a liquid batter. Our other secret is the European pearl sugar we fold into the dough. While melting during the baking process, it gives our authentic Liège waffle its unique caramelized and crunchy texture. The yeast produces not only an irresistible depth of flavor, but a huge amount of rise to make the batter lighter and more tender inside.
